Steel for a stronger region.
Sherashiya manufactures steel billets in Selebi-Phikwe and is building an integrated route to locally rolled reinforcement steel for Botswana and Southern Africa.
Billets today. Rebars next.
Our present focus is consistent export supply of 3SP steel billets. The rolling mill will extend this platform into finished reinforcement steel produced in Botswana.
Built to scale.
The Selebi-Phikwe facility combines induction melting, continuous casting and dedicated high-voltage infrastructure within a platform designed for higher utilisation.
A 15-ton furnace and a 7-ton furnace provide the plant's core melting configuration.
Current billet production is supplied to customers in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

export destinations
From metallic input to finished steel.
Sherashiya's development programme links existing steelmaking with downstream rolling and future upstream raw-material security.
Metallic inputs
Scrap metal today, with future DRI integration planned to diversify the charge mix.
Melting & casting
Induction melting and continuous casting at the Selebi-Phikwe steel plant.
Steel billets
3SP square billets produced in 100 mm and 120 mm sections at 6 m length.
Reinforcement bars
Downstream rolling into construction steel, targeted from February 2027.
One steel platform. Greater regional value.
A phased plan connects operational billet production, downstream rebar manufacturing and a more resilient raw-material base.
Steel billet manufacturing
Billets are produced in Selebi-Phikwe for regional export using the plant's induction furnace and continuous-casting platform.
Rolling mill installation
The downstream mill is being installed to convert in-house billets into reinforcement steel.
Rebar production
Commercial production is planned to support Botswana and wider Southern African construction markets.
DRI and iron ore development
A secured iron ore reserve and planned DRI production are intended to strengthen long-term feedstock availability for the steel plant.
Let's build the region.
